Upcoming Changes

Proposed development and functionality planned to occur for the ANZDATA web application in the near future.

Multi-factor Authentication is coming

We take cybersecurity seriously at ANZDATA and Suite of Clinical Quality Registry's. That’s why, starting September 11, 2024, we’re introducing Multi-factor Authentication as an added layer of protection for all clinical and personal information.

What is Multi-factor Authentication?

Multi-factor Authentication is a security measure that helps to keep information safe. It protects your account from unauthorised access by using something you know and have access to (in this case, your email) to add an extra layer of security.

At the Registry we take privacy seriously, for information on how ANZDATA and it's suite of Registries collects, processes and handles personal information, particularly for the purposes of Multi-factor Authentication, please view our privacy and data policies on our website.

How does it work?

The first time you log in after Multi-factor Authentication is launched, you’ll be required to use a verification code that will be sent to the email address associated with your Registry account.

Going forward, each time you need to log in, you will be required to enter a one-time passcode that will be sent to your email address.

What do I need to do?

It’s important that your contact details are up to date by September 10. You can do this now by logging into your account and making sure we have your correct email address and mobile number on file.

Vascular Access BSI Data Collection - Coming 2025

Supported by the ANZDATA Advisory Committee and Haemodialysis Working Group, it has been agreed that Vascular Access related Bloodstream Infections (VA-BSI) in the Haemodialysis population will be collected and reported from 2025.

For the successful implementation of this new data item, ANZDATA is liaising with RSA Vascular Access Nurses  and preparing a broader education campaign in preparation for the roll out in 2025.

There are only three (3) new data variables associated with this new data element.

  • Date of Infection
  • Causative Organism
  • Access related to the Bloodstream Infection

Further information regarding this data element will be available soon.  Contributing units utilising API and File Import technology will be provided technical specifications in advance of the roll out and all other units will be provided with material and support to assimilate near real-time data submission along with local data management practices.
